lately…

So, let’s face it. I’m a horrible blogger as of late.  I keep telling myself to just sit down and write everything down that is going on, but then something happens.  To be honest, between a two year old and a three month old I get little down time.  However, with a two year old and a three month old, comes a lot of moments that I so greatly want to remember.  Thus, I need to blog more so that I can look back on these special times and remember them.  If I don’t write them down now then they will be gone forever!! With that being said here is what we have been up to lately…

This, my friends, is the newest obsession for my dear little girl.  It is the Hello Kitty shirt.  Not a day goes by that she does not ask for her, “kitty shirt, pa-lease.”  I must say though, she does look rather adorable in said kitty shirt!
And, no I do not curl her hair.  We have been getting this question A LOT lately. Which I must say is somewhat comical to me because A: Who would curl a 2 year-olds hair? AND B: The girl doesn’t let me BRUSH her hair.  I can’t imagine her letting me come near her with a hot stick and her sitting still for that.

A few weeks ago we had a bad storm come in that knocked out our power for a while. It went out around 5, so we decided to head out and get some dinner hoping that it would be back on when we returned home.  Well, it was not on and did not come back on until around 1 AM.  I lit a bunch of candles and Freddy got all the flashlights.  Ansley got the best one, the one that you wear on your head, and just had a ball with it.  It was rather amusing because you could see the light dart across the room corresponding with all of her movements.  While I was nursing Emerson on the couch she walked right up to me and started talking like everything was normal, forgetting the blaring light strapped on her head.  I took it off so that I could see and she said so sternly, “HEY, my light!”  Freddy and I were cracking up.  She is such a little cheese ball!!

The day after the storm, we had an impromptu play date with this little man, his brother and his sweet Mommy.  We love these guys so much! So much that Ansley did not want to leave and continued to ask to go back for the next few days.  Below is a picture from almost a year ago exactly! It is amazing how much they have changed in a year!!
