POOPED!!

Oy vay!! (I think that is how it is spelled?) I am so tired it is ridiculous! I just finished finals last week and boy is that a relief! I feel so scattered and like a chicken with my head cut off. We have been so busy lately with what seems like 12,853 things! Just when I feel like I am catching my breath, something else comes up. So, with all that complaining aside, I have decided to put Ansley into a Mother's Day Out program. I feel like it will be so good for both of us. She needs time with other children and adults, and I need time to run errands with out a cranky audience. I am really trying to work on my little side business and this will be a great opportunity for me to work uninterrupted. So, tomorrow we are going to check out two contenders and see how it goes. I have a whole mess of pictures and updates coming, so keep your eyes peeled. On a totally different note...I don't know about y'all but I am SO READY for fall!! This mid-90 degree weather is just ridiculous and totally out of control! I am ready for breezy days where I can open the windows in the house! Fall....if you are reading this...hurry up already! Geez!

our super busy weekend

Well we were off to Atlanta for a four day holiday this past weekend. We headed out on Friday afternoon, Freddy took the day off because he had been working 14-22 hour days every other day that week. Let's just say we were all pooped when we got to my mom's! On Saturday, Freddy went to the GT game with his good friend David, and the girl's had a fun-filled day for themselves! Mom, Ansley and I headed out to the farmer's market and then off to the park on Saturday morning. Ansley loved the playgrounds and all of the dogs! Later, my Nana & Pawpaw watched baby girl so that Mom & I could help my Aunt Karen shop for some dresses for her son's upcoming wedding. Man, we shopped 'til we dropped!! We found 4 dresses and 2 pairs of shoes...I say we had success. I feel like all we did was shop. We went to Target and got baby girl new shoes, Ikea to get furniture for the office, and consignment stores for more winter clothes for baby girl! We had a great, yet exhausting, time! We got to visit with our family, which is always great!

So, I decided to start my own business of handmade items. I am starting out with bows, headbands, bow holders and pacifier clips. Next week I will be adding bibs, burp cloths, and bottle wraps. The name of the company, elle & alex, stems from my sister's name, Michelle, and Ansley's middle name, Alexandra. I have been wanting to do something creative for so long, and hey it never hurts to make some money doing it (especially when you are living off of one income)!
