happy father’s day

To my Daddy:
I am so blessed to have you as a father.   I have always looked up to you and wanted to make you proud!  It means more than anything to me when you tell me how proud you are of me. Thank you for being so supportive, giving, and loving.  I am so grateful to have you in our lives,you mean so much to me!! I love seeing you with Ansley and how she melts your heart.  Thank you for your continued love and support!! We love you so much Pop!!




To my Father-in-Law:
Fred, I will be honest, you scared me at first(the phone incident); however, now that I have known you for almost 10 years I know what a caring and sweet man you are! You make me feel so welcome in your family and never made me feel like an outsider.  You always have kind words for me and that means so much. Thank you for raising such a wonderful man, I am eternally grateful.  Thank you for being such a wonderful Grandpa! Ansley loves you so much!!



To the love of my life:
I can’t tell you how much it melts my heart to see you with Ansley. She adores you so much, and lights up when she is with you. I love seeing her run to the door when she hears you come in.  That little voice yelling, “Daddy!!” makes my day because I hear in her voice the adoration that I have for you.  You are the rock that holds this family together and I could not have picked a better father for our children.  I am so glad that our girls are going to have such a strong male role model in their lives! I want them to know how men should treat women and I know that you will teach them through your actions.  I fall more in love with you every time I see you with our daughter, and I can’t wait to see you with our new baby girl.  I love you so much!!

My good friends Joy and Leslie threw baby girl and I a shower on the 5th. I know it has been almost two weeks, but I am finally going to post the pictures. My camera died at the end but my mom got some good ones. I had such a good time! It was so nice to talk to the girls with out the interruption of children.
Joy did such a GREAT job! Everything was so cute and the food was delicious!!

The diaper relay race. Unfortunately, my team lost but not by much. We had to split up the moms with babies in diapers…Joy has a 5 month old and a two year old.  We both are professionals. ha!

It was such a wonderful afternoon and it was so nice to celebrate the impending birth of our little girl. It is hard to celebrate as much with the second one because you are so busy with the first. This was all about our baby girl and I am so excited for her to be here!!

the beach!

I know I have been absent for a while, but we were gone for a week to the beach and then I spent a week recovering! Ansley and I spent a week on Anna Maria Island, Fl with my mom and my Aunt Judy (although she left on Wednesday).  We had such a great time! It was quite a drive to get there, but well worth it once we did.  We decided to break up the drive, with me being 8 months pregnant and also with a 2 year old in tow.  We spent the night at my Dad’s on Friday and headed out early Saturday.


My Dad’s girlfriend Cynthia is the best cook! She made me homemade mac and cheese from scratch!! It was to die for. Thanks Cynthia!!!

33 weeks pregnant!

On Tuesday, we drove down the island to Siesta Key.  It was just voted the #1 beach in America so we thought we would check it out and do a little lunch and shopping.  We stopped for lunch at the Old Salty Dog and it was delicious!! Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed with Siesta Key. There wasn’t any shopping and there were NO restaurants on the beach. Go figure.

Yes, that hot dog is a 1/4 lb  and yes I ate all of it! And, yes this contributed to the 6 pounds gained on vacation.


My little booger shopping. She liked to put on all the glasses, carry around a purses, try on shoes, and play with toys. Needless to say she is a very interactive shopper and store owners LOVE us! ha. (I did put everything back)

Over all we had a wonderful time, but vacationing with a toddler can be exhausting!! On our way home we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa’s house for some lunch, pool time and visiting.

Grandma got Ansley the cutest little gardening kit with all the tools she needs to work out in the garden.
