Ansley has really been into make animal noises lately. She has gotten really good and can do quite a few animals. Here is a video we did last night. Sorry for the lighting. She didn’t do all of them, but we were able to capture quite a few. 18 month olds don’t have a very long attention span.

super bowl
I was not all that excited for the super bowl this year. I was really hoping that we would be able to root for the Falcons, but unfortunately the were killed by Green Bay. So, I wasn’t really rooting for anyone. I don’t particularly like either team, but I was cheering for Green Bay because they are in our conference. So, I am happy that they won. We went over to a friend’s house from our small group and we had a great time watching the game and eating yummy foods!! We also had a Chili cook-off at church, so we had a day full of eating.
Here’s our baby girl rooting for the home team. We didn’t have the heart to tell her they weren’t actually playing in the big game.
17 weeks!
I can’t believe that I am already 17 weeks! The time has flown by. This pregnancy is so much different than with Ansley. I don’t have the time to think about being pregnant, or read all the books. Chasing a toddler around really lets the time pass quickly. It really just hit me this week that I was actually pregnant and not just getting fat. I went to the Dr. on Friday and got to hear the heartbeat! It was so precious and made me realize that I have a life growing inside me. The heartbeat sounded so strong, and I can’t wait to see the baby in the ultrasound on the 17th!!
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 17 weeks
Size of baby: Baby Stokes is the size of an onion!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs, Christmas killed me! Depression+emotional eater+holidays=8 lbs gained. I have done much better since then, and haven’t gained anything.
Maternity Clothes: Totally! I do wear some "normal” shirts and dresses though.
Gender: We will find out on the 17th! I am leaning toward boy.
Movement: The baby is moving and I usually feel it when I am laying down on my side or back. I love it!!
Sleep: Eh…I sleep Ok. I have CRAZY dreams, and I have to pee all the time so that can interrupt the sleep cycle.
What I miss: My energy!! I was hoping for the 2nd trimester energy surge, but my doctor told me not to get high hopes due to chasing a toddler.
Cravings: I don’t really have that many cravings. I’ll usually just hear something that sounds good and want it.
Symptoms: Exhaustion! Headaches, sore back, extreme thirst.
Best Moment this week: Hearing the baby’s heartbeat at the doctor’s appointment on Friday!
