playing in the dirt

On Saturday we had a busy day in the yard.  We finally finished our vegetable garden! I hope that it goes better this year than it did last year. Last year, our strawberries died, and we only got one zucchini and squash. This year we decided to do a raised bed, with lots of manure!  Freddy and I went to Home Depot to get the dirt and manure while mom watched Ansley.  Freddy hauled over 600 pounds of dirt yesterday!  So far, the garden looks great and we are really excited for what it produces!  We had lots of “help” from Ansley too.  She LOVES being outside, so I’m hoping to put her to use soon.  She did, however, help mom pull weeds and water our beautiful flowers!
 

 


 

easter festivities

We started our Easter celebrations on Good Friday. Freddy’s company hosted an Easter celebration at a local “amusement park”, the kind that has go karts and putt putt. They started out with an egg hunt, and then a special guest came at dinner. Let’s just say it was love at first sight! Ansley absolutely LOVED the Easter bunny!! She was eating when he walked into the the room and she almost spit out her food so that she could book it over to him.  She ended up going back to sit in his lap THREE different times.  She did great at the egg hunt too, she got 12 eggs!!

She wanted to get on this ride so badly, and then once it started crawling on she FREAKED out!



Today, we had church to celebrate the fact that Jesus died for our sins.  I know it is easy to get caught up in all the “fun” stuff, but the real reason we celebrate this day is because of HIM. 
We had another egg hunt after church, but Ansley didn’t do too well. She only got two eggs.  At that point she was beyond tired and didn’t really care too much.  We had a pretty quiet day today. Mom went back home, and baby girl had a bit of a break down.  It was basically all down hill from there. Temper tantrums GALORE!! Basically, she had an early bed time tonight.

long time no pictures

I just emptied my SD card from my camera and realized that I hadn’t taken any pictures the entire month of March! Holy moly, I will get better! Like usual things have been crazy around here. I spent all of last week holed up in bed with a kidney stone…bummer! I finally passed it and am feeling like my old self again. 
Yesterday, my Nana and Pawpaw came to visit. It was so nice spending some quality time with them, and Ansley absolutely ate up all of the attention! Nana took some great pictures with her camera, so I can actually post something!
