on the road again

For the past three weekends, the Stokes clan has been on the road and on the move.  This weekend, it was just the Stokes girls on the road and on the move.  We hit the road, along with a slew of Georgia fans, to my Dad's house right after school on Friday.  Before we could even pull into the drive of Pop and Mimi's, Ansley was requesting to go to the dock to see the fish.  While we didn't see any that go around the girl tried rather hard to catch a few, quite unsuccessfully, with a net.  Dunking that small thing in the water over and over again.

Saturday, after our morning walk, we all decided to venture out and have a picnic.  We didn't let hurricane Sandy's winds stop us and we had a blast! The girls really didn't want to be bothered much with lunch, instead they were much more interested in running around and playing ball.  The "hurricane picnic", as my Dad affectionately calls it, was full of great memories: attempting to hold down everything on the table, chasing the girls, the baby being knocked down in a wind gust, the big one peeing standing up (to which she was encouraged never to do again), and swinging with Pop.

After our "hurricane picnic" we stopped by a local pumpkin patch.  Ansley picked out a baby pumpkin, and we stopped to have a photo op.   When we got home we watched those smelly old Dawgs beat the Gators, and made Halloween cupcakes.  Ansley was so excited to decorate them with Mimi, that on Sunday we may have had a cupcake party down on the dock.  After a fun-filled weekend we all crashed! We were all super excited to see Daddy and have the whole Stokes clan back together!!
